Anyone using a screen protector? Maybe the c8s screen doesn't need one?
I know with my jeep after a few years when the screen was off and in the sun light you can see where it was worn at. I replaced it the whole radio and used a screen protector this time.

I use this one, I've used their screen protectors on my last 3 vehicles. I like them because they are matte finish. No glare and no fingerprints, I've never had to clean it.

Some report doing so. I would not put anything on my infotainment screen. I have never seen any reason to do so. And, worse, if there is ever an issue with the touch screen, the presence of the add-on screen cover might cause denial of a warranty claim with both B2B or a Protection Plan.
I do have a screen over my phone - but its not stuck to the screen - its part of the Otter case and is just over the screen, not on the screen.
I used a matte one, not so much for protection but to cut down on glare.
It has no effect on usability in terms of touch responsiveness, but the screen doesn't look as good with the matte protector in place. However it's much better with the top down and cutting down on various glare issues, which is the main reason I did it, and it works. Purely for protection, I wouldn't have bothered.
Kit was from Screenprotech and it cost about $70 for two of them. They are a film similar to ppf so the install is a bit trickier than glass phone type. Main reason for two is if you bugger up the first one.
I still have the one from the factory on it. I never touch the screen anyways so I'm just going
to leave it there unless something happens to it.
Be careful with that, those aren't meant to be permanent. Eventually you will want to take it off, they don't hold up and get discolored. The older they are and the more heat they have been exposed to the harder they are to remove. When new they come of in one piece. As they get older the adhesive gets harder and the membrane loses its strength. They get to the point where they just come off in little pieces.
I still have the original as well. But if you must you can buy a sheet of clear clingy vinyl at Michael's or any large craft store and cut to fit. No adhesive, just static cling as the original.
Its sort of like putting clear plastic covers on your couch. Its not really needed. Just keep the screen clean with a wipe now and then.
Ouch!!! Mom had plastic on her beige velour couch. Couch ended up at my sons fraternity house, Mom would be spinning......
I was looking at a new porsche. 135K........ dealer had about $4k of add ons including $99 for a screen protector. I sat down to negotiate and said no way I'd pay those add ons esp the $99. He said non negotiable its a porsche. I dont think I've ever left a chair faster.

I haven’t taken off the original cover from the factory and you can barely tell it is still there
