Default New Wheels: What could go wrong?

I finally bought a new set of ALT Forged wheels. Took them to the tire store to have my tires swapped.
Came home thinking I would clean up my calipers, slam the new wheels on, and go for a drive.

Wait a minute! The new wheels are slightly smaller at the surface where they contact the hub/rotor.
There is some rust on the rotor that was covered up by my old wheels. !@#$% That is going to show behind these new wheels.

Get out the sandpaper, Scotch Brite, and caliper paint. Several hours later sanding masking, painting. I'm ready to install.
I'm really happy with the new wheels. Buying wheels is not easy, there are so many things to consider.
ALT Velocity Rotary Forged, I was not sure about the offset, but it looks great on the car.

Looks great, so easy to make a weird choice, those really bring out the car.

how much?

these offset numbers put the wheels perfectly flush if you are replacing stock w/ aftermarket ones…but plan to use the stock tires.

New wheels look awesome. Good work to knock the rust off.

Yes, That is exactly what they are. 34/45. I think that is about 18/19 more offset than OEM.
It's more than I wanted but there were no options. I will probably warm up to the wide look.
It is OK, but when I see tires so close to the edge, it reminds me of a teenager with an old Camaro and deep wheels that were not made for the car, and the tires sticking out an inch or more.
That is not the look I want.
