Curious I am used to leather or vinyl nose bras on my corvette. These type and water do not treat paint well making paint cloudy. Does the NoviStretch bra need to be removed from the Cari in the event of rain and being wet
I don't keep the NoviStretch on the car all the time. Usually when I'm driving on a cruise or a road trip is when the nose and mirror covers are installed. I have been in the rain numerous times with the nose cover on with no issues whatsoever. When the cover is removed there is no visible scratching or marring on the paint. Now I need to tell you my car has a professional ceramic coating which may help keep things pristine.
I ran mine across country and thru lot if rain. Bra was a mess, did its job when I got to Cali. Took it off washed it with a hose and reinstalled it for the drive east. Great product.
I only use my nova stretch when I’m going for a long trip on the interstate. I’ve run through countless rain storms and the pain is pristine when I take it off at the end of the trip. Throw it in the washer, hanging it up on the shower rod and pack it away for the next time I take a long trip. I love the product.
Big Dog - With the older bras in rain water gets trapped between the bra and paint. Later if the sun comes out the trapped water will steam / vaporize and will haze the clearcoat. Novistretch is different because it is breathable - it's actually a stretchable tightly woven mesh. Safe for rain or shine.
Going up to Talladega this weekend for an event and the Novistretch is the first thing I dug out - when you get to your destination, comes off in 20 seconds.
Off Topic - by your user name do you ride a BDM by chance?
Novistretch works well. Use it on planned highway trips say more than an hour each way etc. Never had a problem. Does a great job. Used on my C8Z and E-Ray

For a quick and easy cover to protect the front end, the Novistretch works well. Please note that it is a mesh cover so larger rocks or other debris can make holes in the cover as well as scar the paint since there is not a thick layer of material to stop the debris.
Novistretch material is very light, airflow is good and it dries quickly. It does not trap moisture like the older designs I used to use.
It offers great protection and I see no surface defects after taking it off and inspecting very closely.
I first used a Novi Stretch bra on my C7 which I drove on several trips from SW Florida to 1500 miles north into PA and back again via Ocean City , MD. Later when I bought my C8 I got one for that car too. I drove thru hurricane pounding rain for over 800 miles and all sorts of thunder storms, winds and **** spewing trucks. They wont stop I big rock or debris but they do protect the front and the mirrors and stop bugs and all sorts of dirt. The beauty is when I'd get up to my destination I'd take it off and wash it in a sink and dry it and put in back on. They don't harm the paint with water underneath like the leather GM one I had on my C6. Just my experience and opinion.
My C6 with a leather GM bra.
My C7 with a Novi Stretch Bra and I used that for 7 years.
This is the Novi Stretch on my C8 at a stop in Charleston, SC
No, it won't make the paint cloudy. It also won't offer a lot of protection. It's great at keeping most bug guts off the car, but it offers pretty much zero protection against rock chips.

I ran mine with the Novistretch on last Sunday and got caught in a very heavy downpour on back roads. Was forced to go 25-25 MPH and I thought the coolant temp. rose by 10*F from 187* to 197*. The more I thought about it it was like waterboarding the front intake area with the heavy rain being poured over the mesh.
