Default Random rubber cap

My wife was vacuuming inside the cabin of our 2025 2LT Z51 and found this odd shaped rubber cap of sorts. Has little tabs around perimeter to hold it into a baseball field shaped opening. Anyone recognize this as a vette part?

Looks like a cap that snaps on and conceals something so definitely don't throw it away and put it in your glove box because someone's going to post up here to let you know what it's for or you can always text/email one of your service advisors or parts department personnel at your trusted dealer and see what they say.

Thanks. I sent pics to dealer service department and they said same as you! Put in the glove box in case you figure out where to put it.

Awesome, maybe I should apply for a job at my local GM/Chevy dealer or maybe GM can hire me and plug me in somewhere.

Was it on the drivers side? If so, might be the cap to cover the accelerator pedal bolt.

This is what it looks like to me also. Did you recently install the Soler Throttle Controller? If so, you may not have securely reinstalled this cap.

So much for the retainer tabs holding it in place.

Wow. You guys are geniuses. It was on the driver's side and that is the accelerator pedal bolt cover. Weirdly, I already had one in place when I checked. Wondering if they lost one during the build and just installed another. I'm guessing the one she found was just a bit under the driver's seat. I'll probably be selling the spare on ebay. .. thanks for the expert help!!

Damn, good call. Sure looks like that cap that I removed from my gas pedal when I installed my Soler throttle controller.

Maybe save that extra piece because it might go up in value due to how special it is. ; )

Yep, the installer probably dropped it and it's much faster to just grab another out of the bin than to go hunting around for it.

Sorry, I don’t recognize that cap, but I do recognize that key fob cover. I have the same one!

Just for future reference, I looked it up with Google Lens and it immediately identified the part, including GM part number. Very handy tool.

it goes on to the left of the gas pedal assembly over the 10mm screw.

The GM part number for the accelerator pedal lever bolt on a C8 Corvette is 42733295. This is the bolt that secures the entire accelerator pedal assembly, which may be the component you are looking for a cover for.
