Default Performance Exhaust

I have a 2023 C8 with a non performance exhaust system. I purchased a Borla Atak used. I understand I won't be able to use the valves the way they are designed to be, but just want them in the open position. Are they shipped in the open are closed position?
Thank you in advance.

Factory NPP is open by default, so Borla should be the same.

To my knowledge the factory exhaust is only totally open at start up then goes to a lower decibel setting. If you don't have a hook up to the car I would check with Borla to see if they have some type of controller solution for your situation.

The default position is open, the reason it closes after startup (in Tour) is the valves are sent a close signal by the computer.

Its been reported a few times that with the valve actuators removed, the valves in the muffler will be open. Even if the Borla was different, I think all that you need to do is just add piece of wire in the appropriate place to hold them open.

Are you planning to re-install the Cylinder Deactivation Exhaust Flow Control (AFM) Valve actuators? If not , you will need simulators for those because even non-NPP systems have those valve and actuators. I personally would re-use them, but some prefer not to.
