I see a lot on here about order allocations for dealers and wait times. I'm planning on placing an order for just a basic 2026 C8 coupe 1Lt soon and wonder if I need to be concerned about dealer allocations or if that is just something that applies more to the "in demand" cars like the z06 and such? I haven't picked a dealer yet so I'm just doing my homework before contacting them. I live in the Seattle area but I know many in the area order from the top dealers on the east coast. I'm open to either if the price is similar.
Other than the normal ordering details, allocations and price what else do i need to ask the dealer?
Demand is low. You expect at least $5k off MSRP, else wait till Oct\Nov to buy.
Les Stanford Chevrolet, MI is closer to you, start there. They have some 2025's with $10k off.
Always MacMulkin, Ciocca, and even Coughlin-OH.
Many will say... get the Z51 option, get Mag-Ride,... I say the one thing worth the money is the NPP Performance exhaust.
The standard Stingray handles great, rides great, and will meet all your expectations.
It's a buyer's market. Enjoy the planning and search.
Best wishes to all;
I would bet my money tha you arent getting $5k off a 2026 1LT factory order (most likely $0). They will be puching you towards in stock 2025 cars for a discount.
Rumor has it that the discounts won't be in abundance at least to start when the 2026 models start rolling out. Between tariffs, reduced production and demand, I would suggest keeping your options open as far as choosing a dealer. You can get an idea which dealers have the largest allocations including the dealers closest to you at c8tracker.com
I can vouch for Ciocca in Atlantic City which currently has the 2nd largest allocation in the USA.
My sales consultant is Brandon and he has a youtube channel where you can get to know him and get his contact info: https://www.youtube.com/@LetsVette
Trim or options have no bearing on dealer allocations. The dealer will know how many allocations they have each month to give to customers. Once you find a dealer with an allocation, constraints will then affect what models and/or options you can order. SOMETIMES, 1LT’s do go on constraint…
Oh, and when searching for dealers, you can use this website to guesstimate how often dealers get allocations:
https://www.c8tracker.com/dealers/index/all/2024
I used a dealer that averaged around 1 allocation per month, but had a very short waitlist. You can find some dealers with immediate allocations, and some that may offer to put you on their list. If they offer to put you on their list, you need to know how many are ahead of you, and what their monthly allocation average is to get an idea on when they can get you a car.
