Default Dust

I’ve had my C8 for six months and cannot believe how much brake dust it generates. Is there any real coating that prevents the dust from sticking?

A ceramic spray will make it easier to remove but the dust will still accumulate. Between that and brake squeal I went to power stop extreme pads.

The Brembo pads dust like crazy. I swapped mine pretty fast and went to Powerstop Z26.

Besides or ceramic coating wheels I use Geon Wet Coat after a few washes. It keeps the calipers and wheels less dirty and beads up immediately.

What I have found with the C-6, C7, and C-8 is change the brake pads to ceramics (several choices) and ceramic coat the wheels. That's about it. I might add, don't let the wheels and calipers become overly dirty, keep them clean.

Defiantly change your pads to Power Stop.

The non-Z51 cars must have ceramic pads as they don't dust at all.

this , and the harder ride is why I opted for a non Z51 car. I did the same on my C7.

I can't believe all of the talk about brake dust. I have absolutely no brake dust at all on my 23 C8. Any reasoning why?

Z51 have the dust issue, non Z51 don't. I assume you have a non Z51?

Gyeon Wet Coat is great stuff. I apply it to the car including wheels every 3-4 months. It adds gloss and does a good job of protecting the paint and I agree makes the wheels and calipers less dirty and easier to clean. The application maybe adds an additional 20 min to your wash routine.
