Default New Interstate Battery

I have had my C8 for 3 1/2 years and decided to go to Interstate vs AC Delco. I ordered from local Costco so if issue does occur Costco has great return policies. Oh I do use a battery tender. Did not want an issue when out and about. Was a snap to change.

I have had really good luck with the interstate batteries. I’ve had one in my Camaro and one in a Mustang. They were perfectly fine after three years… I replaced them anyway…

I have ben a satisfied Costco member for years but find it strange that Walmart's AGM battery is 15 cents cheaper than Costco but includes a 48 month warranty, vs. Costco's 36 months. Costco is not often undersold.

My Walmart AGM battery lasted one year. I spent most of the morning trying to get Walmart to credit the full amount. Not as easy as going to Costco.

Be thankful it does not have that god awful finicky C7 positive side bus bar.

If you check Consumer Reports, they rank the Walmart Platinum AGM battery much higher than Costco's Interstate Batteries.

They won't last that long in the C8.

I use the GM one that plugs into the frunk. I have one of the above I used on my previous Vettes. Yes my battery may of lasted lots longer, however I always change my batteries between 3 and 4 years. My last Sierra Denalis battery did not make 3 years, yes my truck is a daily so no tender.

Be thankful you can actually lift out the battery. C7 was a bitch.

"Was a snap to change." So, GM learned something from the C7 fiasco design!

Costco battery warranty is the best. It might be only 3 years, but you bring it in and they give you another one. Just that easy.

I was a satisfied Walmart battery customer for many years but I switched to Costco recently. Better price and warranty for the battery I was buying. Since Im old and weak I use battery carrier any time I change a battery. Highly recommend one. For a real treat in battery changing try removing one that doesn't have a carrying strap in a C3 (behind drivers seat).

Not any more read the warranty, it's now a prorated warranty. You don't get a new battery for free

If there is a defect in material or workmanship (not merely the battery being discharged), this limited warranty provides that upon return of the battery to any United States or Puerto Rico Costco Wholesale warehouse, a pro-rata portion of the original purchase price and sales tax paid will be refunded.

Do some research and you will find actual battery manufacturers make batteries for a variety of brands. It's all about warranties, service and availability.
