Default Price DECREASE for 2026 C8 Corvette

Did GM just announced a PRICE DECREASE for the 2026 C8 models .... base MSRP starting at $68,300 vs $70,195 from the previous year model.

DISCOUNT - $1,895

*UPDATE: Can any dealers confirm this info and if it includes shipping transportation?

I was not expecting a cheaper MSRP price considering an upgraded interior with larger LCD screens, advanced computer technologies, and more standard options! Everybody was anticipating a price increase of $3K-$5K.

They can lower the price because it now has the Chevy Traverse interior.....

I mean, the base price has increased $10k since launch just six years ago for the exact same car & they're sitting on dealer lots at huge discounts. Chevy would've been stupid to increase the price again.

Why is it when you click on that link and build one, it uses 2025 prices?

Unfortunately. I believe you are highly mistaken and or mislead. The pricing of the car has been the same for 2024 and 2025 for the base model. $68,300. Once you add on the transport fee....for example for the 2025 model of 1895. Your come to the current 2025 pricing of 70195. For 2024 the transport fee was a little cheaper bringing the price to $69995 because the transport fee was $1695. Two hundred dollars cheaper.

I wouldn't read anything into that add except the price of the 2025 model can be purchased at $68300 without transportation fee. It has nothing to do with 2026 I think. The price of the car will most likely increase.

Pricing just released today....but 2026 orders and online builds are not allowed for a few more days.
UPDATE: Can any dealers confirm the new price?

I don't think the price has decreased, the prices in the link don't include freight charge. I think the freight charge may have gone down with the new trucking company.

Why doesn't Edmunds or any other source show them? You showed a link to the new prices and they are 2025 prices. On the build and price it always includes freight and the "hook" price excludes it.

That is definitely good info, I'm just happy it's not the $3K-$5K price hike everybody was thinking.... I was waiting to order a new 2026 model w/ all the updates. I'll know more once I can actually do the 2026 build online.

It will most likely fall between the estimated pricing you have posted. At least thats the census right now.

If you scroll down further the eray shows the older interior, which makes me to believe these are the 2025 prices.

if you scroll further down there’s the link/section to 2026 models.

i was happy reading your post though, would love for my 2026 order to be cheaper lol

MSRP is a suggested retail price....what you pay for a car out the door is negotiated between the buyer and the seller........they can build that equation to convince the buyer he is getting a good deal.......what he needs to focus on is the drive away cost of a car......marketing and advertising are all about illusion .....

The retail buyer is picking up all the margins ....subject to the current supply and demand....a market...

How are you posting info on a price decrease and then ask a dealer to confirm all in one breath? 🤣

If there ever was a time to increase the base price, this is it.

I highly doubt that prices will decrease.

Can't date the article, but according to this the 1LT will start at around 71000, The prices OP listed is 2025. 68300 is the starting price for 2025 without the trans. charge. So the MSRP looks to go up not down

GM could hold the price for a few months and then increase the price. They have done this before.
