I own a C8 Z51. I have always been in love with the C7 Orange Sunset Metallic and Orange Sunrise Metallic. I have been looking at a number of 15s and 16s, C7 Z06, but in my opinion they are still overpriced and I have never been a fan of used cars. But that is another story. The reason I posted was to solicit recommendations on paint shops. Not looking for a budget paint shop, but one that will do it right, if I decide to go that route. Thanks in advance.
look for a paint shop that does BMW, Mercedes Audi, etc., and also has a computer matching PPG or a sukurit paint system… Asked to see a lot of their work, realize it will be 5 to $8000 and possibly many months… At least…
looking into wrapping the car, you can virtually match any color you want, it takes less time and a quality wrap is almost indistinguishable to paint… That would be 2 to 4 grand….

This is going to get very expensive. Maybe pick up a pre-owned older Corvette in that same color to satisfy the desire and save the cost of painting and put that money into buying the vehicle?
I personally wouldn't go with a wrap. No matter how high quality the material, they'll never have the look of a high quality paint job.
Now I've yet to do any paintwork to a C8, but have in many other generation Corvettes, and they paint like any other vehicle. The more you disassemble and prep, the better it's going to come out. I'd look into either a high end shop that does modern luxury and sports cars, or a high end restoration shop that handles classics.

Best bet is to find that high quality paint shop. Check with local Vette clubs on recommendations. And try making a thread in the Southeast Regional section of the forum - members there may have advice on a shop.
