A few more details, please. What year car? Are you using the built-in maps or Android Auto / CarPlay? Have you tried adjusting the volume when you think the map should be speaking?
If you are depending on the blue tooth of your phone (assuming you dont have built in NAV), make sure the sound icon on the navigation screen OF YOUR PHONE is on.. You may see an X on sound icon on upper portion of phone screen.
As Red Mist Rulz said, more info is needed. You can't tell from the post what the OP is trying to do. I see he has a 2024 so he has wireless support of CarPlay or the Android equivalent.
The on board app is Google Maps. But using CarPlay or Android whatever, he could be using Maps hosted on his phone, or Waze. And, the on-board system can host other Nav apps too, if there is data plan.
As for Blutooth, the car can connect to a phone using only BT, but that connection will not support CarPlay or Android whatever. So its a voice only.
To support CarPlay or Android .... on your phone, you must have both BT and WiFi enabled every time you connect. The car establishes an initial connection with BT, but then switches to WiFi. And that will support the display of map data on the infotainment screen from an Nav app hosted on your phone.
So, to even try to help, we need to know which app he is using and where it is hosted - and if a phone is involved - how the phone is connected.
