I believe the problem is with me and not really the car. Every time I start the car, I do 3 things, Push the HUD button to change the display, push the outside mirror button to get the mirrors to fold out, and I get a "REMOTE START NEEDS SERVICE" ( BUT IT STILL WORKS) so I press the check mark on the steering wheel.
All of these can bet set or locked in except the remote start. I guess the car needs to be in MY MODE or Z MODE to set the HUD. How do I make it set to that setting? I can't find anywhere in the manual on how to "set" the setting. Same with the mirror button.
I have tried YOUTUBE for the HUD but it is so confusing I didn't get it.
From what I can understand, the dash HAS to be in My Mode or Z mode to make changes, then set the dash to whatever mode I want to drive in Sport or Cruise. If this is correct, I'll waste half of the battery trying to set it up again...
The "set" button on the door, programmed to the key fob # you're using will do the mirrors, steering wheel, seat, etc.
Yep, best to set when stopped BUT I also do it when driving. After setting seat, steering wheels and mirrors have to press your FOB number, then set. I may set seats when driving and reset.
Can set HUD to whatever for any Drive Mode. I have mine change with the two Modes I mostly use (Z-Mode and MY Mode.) I also have Weather Mode set to show tire pressure. So if I want to see tire pressure I switch to Weather Mode.
Once you enter the car and start the engine, the display will tell you which FOB and User are in control of the car.
You can adjust that setting accordingly. Set all the parameters as you like them in the car, then set memory to the indicated FOB or User when you started the engine.
