Default New C8 Owner

Traded my C7 Z06 MN7 speed for a new 2025 C8 Coupe. This is my 17th vette, 1st one without a Manual Tranny! Getting older and wanted something more comfortable and quite. I'll miss the Z06 beast, but so far, glad I changed!

Ok then! Tells us some comparative reasons why you like the C8 vs the C7. The C7Z seem to be appreciating. That certainly won't be the case for a C8 coupe.

Congrats! I'm on my 3rd C8 (Stingray, then Z06, and now E-Ray), and I still miss driving a clutch/stick occasionally, just not enough to do something about it and add a C6/7 to go with the C8.

The c7 Z is fun! Fast, and loud! Which is good, sometimes! But it’s not a take a long trip car. And heavy traffic is not fun! Just got back from a 1200 mile trip to the mountains in the Z, fun while there, but going and returning back home was just not comfortable. The C8 is fastest enough, quicker from the start and easier to drive hard. The Z will bite you if not careful! From a roll, it’s just damn scary! But I’m in my 60’s and needed the change.

I miss my C7 but after driving my C8, there are no regrets. The C8 is light years ahead of the C7.

Congrats! I'm curious why you chose gray this time instead of blue. The C8 is a nice change from the C7. Many of us have done the same.

I looked at several C8's, all used, found this one with only 1,400 miles on it, still had the plastic covering on the interior parts,,,,so new! Price was right, liked the color, wanted 2LT so, Bada Boom!
