I used to live in Florida so I have used DT before, even after moving to Alabama I still use DT, they have a store in Pensacola FL, its about a 35 min drive for me. Last year I had them replace all tires on a 2003 C5 Z06, great service and competitive prices keeps me going to this chain.
The great Goodyear G670 (not C8) I had been using is discontinued although I have had Fabulous life and wear with them. The vehicle manufacture had a posted 82PSI for the tires, but I discovered (after 50K) that they should be around 95-100psi. Such unprofessionalism and not know their front from their backside!
Upon further research, I'll be going with a Toyo M143. Both Higher load and speed ratings, excellent reviews. Time will tell.
I have used them for over 50 years and still love them. When I get free service on rotation and balance or tire repair I always give the worker $20.00.
Unfortunately, their closest store to me is Lakeland FL....about 100 miles one way. STILL, I do that drive BC the Mavis stores all around me suck big time. I've written DT more than once asking them to consider the demographic in my zipcode. Trying to get them to open up closer. They answered that they consider growth very carefully. So, I'll keep on driving 200 miles RT.
I normally use America's Tire if I can. I recently purchased a couple of tires from Les Schwab because they had the tires in stock during an emergency. I had one issue with America's Tire but they made it right.
Within 1 mile from my place, there is Discount Tires and Costco.
Costco offers free installation. However, Discount tire is more flexible and their tires are typically manufactured within 2 months (while Costco's tires are 9-16 months). I like Discount tires and am a long time customer.
How old of a date code is too old? DT has the tire I need with an April 2025 date code. I ask because the tire will probably age out before the tread is even 35% gone.
