So many have whined about the wall, now they complain the passenger controls have been removed. GM listened, then you whine. It is like the controls used to be...most likely one set of controls built into the video screen. Lol. My wife loves that she has her own controls on our 2023!

Few, very few, owners whined about the wall. the whining was mostly from non-owners who had never actually used the system. So GM listened to the wrong people, and managed to improve some aspects but make others worse.

I think he's referring to all the complaints about the wall when the car was introduced. People also complained about the steering wheel not being a perfect circle.
It's literal first world problems, that you buy a 100k car and the steering wheel isn't round enough for you.

Once the cars are out in the wild being driven and used in the real world, lets see how the owners and passengers feel about the changes. Verse, speculating on something you cant see or drive first hand.

People complained about the steering wheel being ugly - because it is. Just like they complained about the C4 steering wheel (horrendous), C5 steering wheel (horrendous), '05 C6 steering wheel (horrendous), and '06-'13 C6 steering wheel (cheap & out of the cobalt).

There are some things Corvette designers just have never gotten right, and the steering wheel is one of them. To your point, buying a $100k car you shouldn't have to deal with an ugly steering wheel. I'm not sure about the C8, but at least other generations have nice aftermarket options.

If the passenger wants to play with the buttons, they should buy their own car.

C7 = no wall + passenger controls. It’s not that hard.

personally, I think it liked it better when my wife did not have her own controls. Sure, I would have to make changes for her here and there, but when she has her own controls, it seems like she’s constantly fiddling. It’s annoying.

I’m an owner that openly dislikes the wall. Most of my C8 owner friends and acquaintances do not have issue with the wall as I do. A.k.a., not whiners. However, most feel they might like the new interior better.

Picked up my 2026 SR yesterday. Going to dinner with my wife, I made a point to see how well she could reach the passenger side AC controls. It was not an issue.

Say what you will about the wall, it was unique. Unfortunately new setup still looks like a modified hyundai interior.
