A battery that matches or exceeds power requirements specified by the vehicle's manufacturer, vehicle's charging/starting system has been and is in good condition, battery trickle charged (battery tender) when stored, frequently driven, installed in a vehicle used/stored in a moderate climate (batteries will not last as long in HOT <especially> or cold climate) should last 5-7 years.
Good idea to start looking to replace at 6 years old.
I base this opinion on my owning/operating a chain of auto parts stores over 16 years and buying/selling/warranting literally thousands of batteries over the years.
I wish I had all the $$$ wasted by those replacing batteries at just 3-4 years old.
I replaced the original battery in my 2018 Tacoma just the other day as it slightly hesitated to start for the first time. It was 7 years 3 months old.
It's rare for a battery to just quite with no warning.
I did mine preventive just before 4 yrs, I did not want to be stuck anywhere. Oh I do carry a Noco jump starter and have used on my previous truck and a few Vettes.
No matter the vehicle-work or personal-I've learned the hard way to replace a battery at 3 years of age. I used to get stranded-or have a vehicle not start at the house when I had to go to work. No issues since. It's overkill I know, but for the cost I prefer the convenience and reliability.
If My 2023 is going to be parked for more 2 days i connect My Deltran Battery Tender. I did this with My 2016 C7 and still had its Original Battery when i traded it in after 9 years !!! You can run the cable thru the Back of the Frunk and close it !!
I replaced the battery in my 2020 at 4 1/2 years. I wasn't interested in dealing with the potential anomalies and electrical gremlins that a dying battery causes in the C8.
I replace mine when it starts to show signs of failure. The last one was my 427 Vert at nearly 7 years. That said, my cars are on a CTEK trickle charger when in the garage and the garage is air conditioned.
I don't think we have quite the same info that we had on C6/C7 that both ate batteries and had pretty ugly consequences for any leakage issues... but I did 4 years on the C6 and plan to do the same with the C8.
My daily, with our winters I can see better when the battery is starting to lose reserve but that is on a 5 year plan no matter what as well.
They don't seem to last as long as they used to in general, and I'd rather be proactive than deal with being stuck somewhere. The way I look at it, it's worth the ~$50 bucks or whatever to me to hold the faster replacement cycles and have lower risk of dealing with a dead battery.

I need to know where you are buying these batteries for ~$50!
5 years plus ever how long they have been sitting in the warehouse
Good point and why I always check the date code showing when the battery was manufactured that's stamped in the side of the battery.
Personally, I'd never purchase a battery on-line.

While your battery may still last a while, you are probably pushing your luck at this point. I think I would be planning on a replacement soon. JMO as I would not want to be stranded somewhere.
My 5 years are up this dec. on my 2020. Got 46K miles on it nd drive it every day , rain or shine , hot or snow. Maybe I'll change it next year. Just gonna wait and see. My truck is a 2016 with original battery and my old volvo has a 10 year old battery in it. So we'll see where and when they go. Enjoy the ride
