Consumer Reports says 92% of C8 owners say they would buy it again. Highest of ANY vehicle in their survey.
Most of these cars aren’t daily drivers and have very low milage. A better survey would be when the fleet averages closer to 100,000 miles for direct comparison to other vehicles for reliability and vehicle support. A large percentage are under warranty to boot. If as just one example, tranny’s start demonstrating a significant failure rate in a few years at more moderate milages and out of warranty resulting in a $30K tab out-of-pocket (factoring in inflation), I’ll bet the euphoric buzz will turn to crippling hangover fairly quickly.

I'm loving it. Surprised that the % is not higher.
When we go to a car show, my C8 friends refer to us as "ambassadors for the brand.
Or I say we should get a "sales commission from GM.
We all enjoy our cars so much and enjoy explaining the technical questions from the car show crowd.
Does that engine make a lot of noise?
Do you get a lot of heat from that engine?
How big is the frunk.?
What are all of those switches on that wall.?
Are those GT1 seats.
How much power?
Good to see that the overwhelming majority of C8 owners are satisfied with their purchase, the C8 is not a new model anymore being that we are in the 7th year of production & with 196,000 on the road, the C8 has proven to be pretty reliable
Vette owners are for the most part car junkies, myself included. I think that has some bearing on the survey.
I would agree and add a bit more to include that the a large population of Vette owners, regardless of the year manufactured, are likely satisfied with their cars for the very same reason which is why you still see a wide variety still on the road and owners who have multi-generations in their garages.
If trans goes bad after warranty is up, I doubt I would take it to a dealer. I’d be calling Lingenfelter, LMR, race proven motor sports, or RPM. But I do agree the question of satisfaction be brought up again when cars have 50-100k miles, hopefully trouble free miles.
Yes, but that's always been true. Even when Corvettes were terribly unreliable. Corvette owners tend to be true believers and very faithful to the brand. That said, my C8 is probably the most reliable car I've ever owned. Only one problem in 4 1/2 years and 31K miles: a broken convertible top cable.
