I sold my 2016 Camaro to them earlier this year. Process was so simple, they do all the work. You just have to make sure to give full truthful details about the car when you fill out the information to start the process online. After that it's all done on their site.
You can even pay a small fee for them to come to you and inspect/ pick up the vehicle.
Also they offered almost $5,000 more than the next closest offer from Carmax.
I sold my 2018 Caddy ATS-V to Carvana about a year ago. Their offer was about $2K higher than anyone else. Very easy and smooth transaction. I paid a nominal fee to have the car picked up from my house. Payment was in my bank account a few hours later. I was particularly impressed with the 2 person team who picked it up. They were genuinely concerned about correctly loading it on their Carvana flatbed truck. They spent about 20 minutes making small adjustments so that the front splitter wouldn't scrape. I would definitely use them again assuming their offer was reasonable.

Sold a vehicle to them a few years ago, gave me quite a bit more than the dealer was offering and came to my house and picked it up. Gave me a check on the spot, took like 15 minutes. My brother had the same experience. One of the easiest transactions ever, would have no problem doing again. I did try the other online vendors and Carvana beat them all in my case.
I traded in my 15 Z51 to them on my new to me 21 HTC.
They basically buy your car with a possible trade deal to get tax credits.
They make sure and let you know that if you change your mind on buying the new car, you do not get your trade in back. So, it's more of a sale than a trade in.
The deal was easy. He drove the C8 to my house, I signed the paperwork, and he drove away in my C7.
I kept the C8.
They offered $7k more for my C7 than CarMax did. They turned around and sold it the following week for $5k more than they paid me for it.

Sold my mom's car last year to Carvana. Process was very easy and payment was immediate with them cutting her a check on the spot after verifying the condition of the car was as stipulated. If you don't want to deal with tire kickers, it is an easy way to sell a car.
CarMax gave me a better price and was painless, although I did have to bring the car to one of their locations. I would consider either option again and go with whoever is offering more.
Sold a vehicle to them last December. Smooth, easy process and far better then trading it away to a dealer or trying to sell privately to tire kickers and low ballers.
Your price at any time is going to depend on their inventory and demand for what you are selling. If they are over loaded with a model they will offer less. All these buy your ride options work well. It comes down to price. I like to use the online NADA feature...... they shop your car to the local market. I had a Honda dealer buy my C8 when they were in demand......... because the owner was a gearhead...... diehard Porsche dude but wanted to have a C8 for the experience.
Although I've had them provide me a quote, they are always waaaayyy lower than what I eventually sell my car for myself. For ex, they wanted to pay me $31k for an AMG that I eventually sold for $45k. Now, they want to pay me $51k for my C8 when market should be around $65k. IMO, that's way too much of a gap that I'm not willing to let go of.

Exactly. Inventory and recent auction prices. While Carmax and Carvana have similar business models what they need and want can vary widely. Shop both and then sell to the highest offer. In MD we only pay tax on the difference between the trade and the new purchase so this needs to be considered if your state is similar and you are buying a replacement.
