Picked up my 2026 HTC last Wednesday and I’ve noticed now 3 very faint paint blemishes on the panel that covers the engine. I could post a picture of one but it might be hard to see. It looks like a rectangle just above the grill area. Regardless, has anyone experienced anything like this and if so, did you ask the dealer to repaint the part? Dealer sees it and is willing to do whatever I want but I’m concerned it will never match the original.
leave it be…i had a 2012 camaro zl1 with a couple paint drips…i bought new .
Didnt bother me i actually i accepted because i figured it’s a chevy….i sold the car a while back.
I noticed a few small scratches on my car in the first few months. I ended up polishing the entire car so I buffed most of them out.
There is one scratch in the front bumper that I could not buff out, but I don't want the entire bumper painted because the bumper paint is hard to match,
and factory paint is baked at very controlled conditions. That is critical for a front bumper. That scratch is small and with my color it is hard to see.
For your HTC engine panel, yes, if you see defects in the paint, don't wait, take it to the dealer and ask for a repaint. They should be able to spray that panel perfectly.

Dealer wasn’t so sure they could do it perfectly, hence my hesitation.
Who would actually do the repaint... NOT the dealer, I hope! I too would be temped to let it alone and perhaps not have an even greater issue if a smuck tried to fix it. All the best, in any event.

yes it’s a tough decision. Just disappointed in BG QA people for letting this through.
