Anyone order the GM splash guards when they ordered their car? Are they factory installed or dealer installed? The cost is $255. Is there a better (perhaps more outward extended than GM) aftermarket set available for the same cost or cheaper? Thanks
I got the OEM splash guards from the dealer. They fit well and match the trim on the car. Very easy install. But I don't remember them costing $260 a year ago.
I bought a cheap set for under 30 bucks on Ebay. The quality is the same as the factory ones that came on the car. They fit perfect and look absolutely fine. The only difference is they extend out from the wheel wells and actually protect the car. I did the same thing on my C7 and my last C8. In my opinion they are severely overpriced from GM or any other source.
I have no problem paying more for quality especially when it makes a difference but in the case of these splash guards they are pretty much all the same.
Mine are ACS (as is splitter and under body splitter protector). Folks at NCM highly recommended for fit, finish, durability, and best function - after all, they PDI thousands of Corvettes and see them all - so, went with their recommendation and bought and had them shipped there (so, no - they weren't pitching and for me to buy from them) for installation as part of PDI and Prep.
Difference between the OEMs at $250 and the eBay/amazon at $60? How much you pay. Don't fall for more expensive is more better eh? I installed them in 30 minutes +/-. You need a 7mm socket and a pair of mechanic's gloves. I got them off without any mechanical prying tool. Saves the day maybe?

I did the ACS guards. I have a thing for fit and finish and the general consensus with EOS and EBay buyers (and YT videos) seemed to be that they were OK for the money. In other words, if they were not so cheap, they would have gone back. For what you pay for ACS I would expect perfection and that's what I got.
