Roll cage
If you are actually going to race the car, you need to read the rule book carefully for your racing organization to find the minimum tubing diameter and wall thickness.
The SCCA rule book actually describes tubing size, wall, and how the roll cage is constructed.
An SCCA approved roll cage (inspected, stamped, log book) will probably be acceptable for IMSA, NASA or other racing organizations.
As stated above, Bonneville and Open Road races have their own cage spec, usually much thicker wall tubing.
The last cage I built was in a C5 and it was a tight fit. C8 is going to be extra tight.
Connect to the rear shock towers is required in SCCA. That rear glass is going to have to go, and Lexan put in it's place in so you can cut holes for your rear bars.
Keep us posted, this is interesting. You can see the C5 interior was stripped. If you intend to keep your interior panels intact then it will be an extra extra tight fit.
