I thought that an all-white C8 would be too plain for me so I ordered it with the blue stripe. Others probably would disagree with my choice but this is my opinion only. To really get people to disagree, I got the Sky Cool Gray interior.
I am not a fan of stripes in general. And I feel that the emblems/badges on the car clash with stripes--so they should be deleted if you do go with stripes (specifically the crossed flags, stingray and corvette lettering).
I do like the asymmetric color stripes with the asymmetric interior. That looks pretty slick. And any combination of stripes that color matches 2-tone seats on the interior works pretty well visually (eg. torch red car, black stripes, 2-tone red seats with black centers). Similar to (but the inverse of) dyoung's ER.
Moreover, I prefer graphics that accent the creases/lines in the bodywork more than just "stripes". When done properly, this accents the bodywork and can break up the design into new, aesthetically pleasing segments (eg. one SUPER WIDE stripe down the entire center of a car). There's so many angles and creases in the C8 that if feels wrong to not try and conform to some of them--if I were adding graphics.
It is funny for me, I like seeing them on other peoples cars. I like the look of strips on the C8, I also think it depends on the color of the car. White looks good with a bunch of different colors, red looks good with black…. I had thought about putting the twin black stripes on my Sebring Orange Z06 I just ordered but decoded not to do it. I think it is one of those things where I would have to put them on and live with it for a month or two to decide if I really liked them or not…
Depends on the car. I have never had stripes on a car before, but they work on my Z06. When I was at the museum taking delivery I had several people walk up to me and say it was the best looking car on delivery boulevard (it was full that day). Still love the look to this day.

That does look nice! White is one of those colors that almost need something like that.

Generally I'm not a fan of the stripes on the C8, but there are some color combos that look good. The black stripes on white is probably the best. That's a sharp looking car.
