I was ready to pull the trigger on a 2LT, but a few dealer calls changed the math. I now have two out-the-door offers (Michigan taxes included):
2025 Stingray 3LT — MSRP $93K → $80K OTD with Taxs etc.
2025 E-Ray 1LZ — MSRP $110K → $90K OTD with Taxs etc.
I prefer the 3LT interior over the 1LZ, but the E-Ray’s off-the-line punch is unreal. For those who’ve owned or driven both, which deal would you take and why—lux interior/value (3LT) or hybrid performance/future appeal (E-Ray)?
Both are black on black 🤪
I've never owned an eray but just sold my 2021 3LT SR anticipating buying an eray soon....
Here's what ill say...if it has to be one of these 2 cars id go with the one that is more fun to drive. Period.
however that being the case you should really ask yourself if there are any features you have to have....for me a 1lt would be a no go just bc of the lack of some basics.
Id say go a 3rd option....wait or keep looking IF you are settling. There are going to be more and more out there and you are going into the time of year where it becomes a buyer's market
It is a real crap shoot if you get a 3LT because of the dash bubbling issues. Especially here in Florida. While shopping for a C8 I came across a number of them all with that issue.
There's nothing wrong with a 3LT/3LZ, especially if it isn't black on the inside.
I would not go with 1LZ. Plenty of 2LZ's out there (I just bought one). Especially if you aren't shy about buying a CTFV that is still under warranty. I would never have optioned mine with CF 1 interior, CF wheels, and CF ground effects--but that's how it came. And I still spent 20k less than I would have if I'd optioned it myself new.
I love the suede interior, the GT2 red seats that itself makes it so much more appealing then the eray …. Until you ride the the eray…. Pffff noticeably faster more torque just all around a better ride. The 3LT is no slouch but im torn between the beauty of the 3LT and the speed of the Eray

I did not vote, I owned a Stingray and traded in on an ERay. Had the Stingray almost 4 yrs and enjoyed my time in Chevys first mid engine Corvette. With that the middle of July I got my ERay as I did want a wide body. Here are my thoughts at 2 months and 2,000 miles. It drives around close to a Stingray when putting around, when you hit the go pedal the extra 160 hp hits quick and to me my ERay is a Stingray on Steroids. You can not go wrong with either choice. For this previous Stingray owner I now have instant power on tap.
I have had both. I just traded in a 2021 3LT Z51, for a 2025 1LZ E Ray, and I don't regret it. There were a lot of toys and options on the 3LT that I never needed nor used. For example my ears can't pick the difference between a 1LZ or 3LT speaker system. As a matter of fact, the 3LT has stuff that may never be used and I think on either car the 2 level is the best bang for the buck. About my 1LZ, I wouldn't have bought it without the data recorder and luckily the car I bought happened to have the data recorder.
1LT (Base Model)
Focus: Performance and the core Corvette experience.
Key Features:
Well-equipped base audio system.
Standard rear-view camera.
Best For: Driving purists and track enthusiasts who prioritize performance over interior luxury and features.
This would be me.
2LT (Convenience & Technology)
Focus: Enhancing comfort, convenience, and safety for everyday driving.
Key Features:
Heated and ventilated seats with side bolster adjustments. Never used
Head-up display. I have this on my 1LZ. Maybe it came with the data recorder, but I never use it anyway.
Interior color-matched options. I'm updating the interior little by little, for example I put on nice dual color seat covers versus the solid black seat.
Best For: Drivers who want a significant upgrade in comfort and tech for daily use. I agree that the 2 level is the best.
3LT (Ultimate Luxury)
Focus: Unmatched interior luxury and premium materials.
Key Features:
Premium, hand-stitched leather-appointed seating and interior surfaces.
Extensive customization options for interior colors and materials.
Best For: Those who desire the most indulgent and customized Corvette experience, prioritizing interior appointments. For a guy like myself, this is overkill.

I think you could spend a few $$ more and get the 2LZ. I did a quick search on a random mish zip code and there 192 2025 ERays on dealer lots in a 500 mile radius with 1ZLs starting at low $90...check out the link below. I also attached a small clip..

My 1LZ had MSRP of $114,000, minus $17,500 discount, then they do all the taxes and stuff and come up with about $96,000, then I got $7,340 extra off with my Barclays card, so figure around $89,000 with the Barclays discount.

I am a big fan of 3LT interior as my Stingray Natural Dip and ERay Adrenaline Red Dipped. I do move my bolsters, drive through my hud and change my seat position based on putting around or spirited. Oh with having a HTC I have the Paragon Wide Angle Mirrors (removed from my HTC Stingray) for me I drive more as a vert then hardtop. With that get the ERay hands down.
Off of the line punch is fun but that is something like 0.001% of my driving time since I don’t track the car and don’t have roads in my part of the country that will let you use big power without bad results. For me the e-ray represents a little more weight, more cost, and more complexity with the only payback being a very occasional giggle.
I think it all gets down to how you use the car.

This. I wouldnt want an Eray simply due to the added complexity. If I could get a modern engine and suspension but with 99% of the rest of the car being late 90s/early 2000s tech I'd take it in a new york minute. Dont need gps, hybrid drive trains, esld, crash avoidance, adaptive cruise, blind spot monitoring, HUD, etc etc etc. Just more crap to break down the road.
But for OP I think searching for a deeper discount on a 2LZ eray might be the best call.

13k & 20k with tax- WT.. is going on? I'm in the purist category too, (as someone mentioned above) the front camera and safety features are nice tho. Growing up when power windows, door locks and AC were optional equipment, that's pretty much all I need. From a purist point the front (elec) motor wouldn't be my thing but the wide body and carbon brakes are.
Good luck, can't see you going wrong either way!
