Yes, I had it on my 2021 Stingray. It was out of warrantee, but GM agreed to pay 60% of the repair cost. So far, no problem with my 2025 E-Ray.
Could you comment about the circumstances whereby GM paid 60%. Did the repair entail removing the dash or removing the windshield? Thanks.

I thought I was safe. Then when I got into my car last Thursday, I noticed delamination, for the first time, in my 17 year old C6. It was caused by heat from the sun. It was parked outside. I normally protect it from the sun. It was a relatively cool day and I thought I'd be OK. I have a C8 with the 3LT and now I not to ever let my guard down with either car.
Here are a few more photos from another pre-owned C8 being offered for sale from a dealer with delamination on the dash, over the gauge cluster, and also the door. Being sold like this without being repaired first, why?
Sounding to me that it's a crap shoot. Do I order the 3LT and have that delamination on my mind all the time? Or settle for less by getting the 2LT and not have to worry about it. I probably won't decide until right up to the time I order the car, which by the way is Tuesday.
Nobody has said it yet, so I will.
It depends on what you want for your interior. If you're getting all black or black with 2-tone seats, the 3LT isn't really worth it, imho. Not unless you absolutely are nuts about the quality difference between the 3's genuine leather vs the 1/2's non-leather (minor, but it matters to some).
However, if you want any other color than "black" interior--3 is likely worth it. Look at the SCG interior on the car w4rmk posted. Yeah the dash sucks; but the a-pillars, visors, glovebox, lower dash and firewall are all SCG on that interior. They are black on a #2 SCG interior (I have one in my ER).
Delam issues or not, I absolutely love the light color interior paneling--and I would gladly risk it for that.
Hey Ram.
I have owned a C6, two C7’s and now a C8. All have been the 3LT option (I think my C6 had a different code), and I have had no issues.
Happy hunting.
Not sure why you are quoting me but no one can tell you the percentage. Just like no one can for DCT failures or HTC cable failures.
That is my point. I ran through this same pain staking decision as others. I wasn't convinced from all the threads that it was a pandemic. Only a small percentage was my analysis (Guess). When I looked at the stats for Z06, nearly 3/4 of the cars produced were 3LZ's. With forum representing small sample of ownership and only a few actual occurrences. I figured it was worth the gamble.
I did this research for a older thread, same topic (see below), there have been 10s of thousands 3LT/3LZs sold...
I went through this when deseeding and went with the 3LZ....

My 2021, door panel and dash $2100 after a GM courtesy discount. Car only has 8500 miles and kept in an AC garage. Plus, the new parts are no better than the original.
2011 GS 3LT had no issues but sure just looked like a generic molded vinyl dash to me. 2019 GS 2LT no issues with the stitched vinyl covering, really looked like leather. 2025 Eray 2LZ too new to tell but it looks sharp.
The 3LT/3LZ option always struck me as an expensive and avoidable headache, however if you trade your cars before they go out of warranty well then it’s GM’s problem not yours so go for it.
Doesn’t tell you the percentage that had delamination…

There was a post made, either in the C7 or C8 subforums where someone suggested extreme and somewhat quick temperature changes could be a cause, as the glue and material don't expand and contract at the same rates. No idea as to the validity of that but maybe it's a contributing factor.
