Default GM Splash Guards

Been searching for GM splash guards (84263453) and about half the sites I find it on say they are discontinued. Anyone know if they are really discontinued or been replaced by something else?

I got a set of 4 off of eBay but the fit is horrible up front and will end up probably pitching them in the trash. I tried grinding them down a bit so they fit flush but nothing helped.

I will check with them and see if they truly have them in stock and if so probably get all 4 GM ones this time.

Their chat bot says they are not the actual GM part, even though the description says it is. The listing says: Engineered by Chevrolet to fit your C8 Corvette Stingray, custom-molded splash guards are virtually chip, crack, and tear resistant and will withstand extreme temperatures while protecting your Corvette Stingray.

Their AI chat bot agent says:

The 20-25 GM Front Splash Guards, part #X-4430, are designed to fit your Corvette, but they are not the exact GM part number 84263453. They are high-quality aftermarket splash guards made to match GM specifications closely. If you want the original GM part, you would need to order part number 84263453 specifically.

I'll call them and see if I can confirm. Live person says they are actual GM splash guards, so I guess moral of the story is you cannot trust AI Chatbots, at all Not like this is the first time I've gotten completely bogus information from AI.

Yes, Zip is a major parts supplier. Well worth a call to confirm the info on the splash guards.

Thanks. Sadly I've already wasted $60 on a set from eBay that are garbage. The fitment on the front fenders leaves a lot to be desired, there's about a 1/8" gap at the top that looks terrible. Cutting my losses and going for actual GM ones this time Those holes in front fender can't take too many more removals before they get completely torn up, so only want to do this one more time.

I find ill-fitting guards from GM highly suspicious. The GM C7s fit perfectly, even though they clearly said on the GM packaging there were made in China.

The ill-fitting ones weren't OEM GM splash guards but an aftermarket product. I am hoping the actual GM ones fit better.

I tried using my belt sander to trim them down so they'd fit more snugly but never made any progress. Hence why I can't return them Lesson learned, and they'll just go in the trash when I get the GM ones that hopefully fit better.

I got the splash guards from Zip, and they are indeed the real GM deal. And they fit correctly! They aren't quite as wide as the eBay ones, but they fit like they should so I'm happy. Chapped at how much they cost for what they are, plus wasting $60 on the crappy eBay ones I got first. But in the end I'm satisfied with how it looks. They won't stop a ton more than the regular ones but hopefully enough to prevent a few rock chips and a little less splash up along the way.
