I like everything about my C8.. bought it out of dealer stock... I think the only thing they "missed" when they built it was the calipers. I think Edge Red would have really set the car off. Has anyone painted their calipers after the fact? If so, what method/paint did you use? Thanks
Kinda depends on your mechanical and painting skills but there are kits for painting and stick on lettering ,i have never done it . OR there are vendors that you can send yours to be done or exchanged but the price gets higher .....fyi some brake hardware bolts might be one use only
G2 seems to have a lot of good reviews for the DIY crowd. I still want to have my calipers painted Accelerate Yellow to match the engine compartment accents. But I really don't see myself doing the DIY job and being happy with it afterwords.

I hear you.. the car looks fine as is.. the last thing I want to do is have them come out looking cheap or crappy.... I've worked on my own cars my whole life but not sure I want to mess with this one.....

i too bought mine off the showroom floor ,they had ordered the e with the red 700.00 calipers ,they do look good on an all black car imho
I'm going this route. I purchased the kit, just need to do it. From what i've read, they will look oem. I'll post when I'm done.
What I also like about this kit is that you have a small brush and can make sure to get into small places. You only need one kit to do all four but I am going to buy two kits and do fronts and take my time. Then do the rears the next day....

G2 is a popular caliper paint kit. If you do not feel like doing the DIY route, TPS Motorsports offers a painted caliper exchange program. They advertise on the forum.
I used the G2 paint kit too. Instructions are good, prep is very important and need to apply multiple coats quickly because of curing time for the epoxy paint.

How did you get the corvette lettering back on? And looks like you don't have to remove anything but the rim/wheel. Is that right? Intruiging.
just popped off the center caps,, laid a piced of 2 inch tape over the emblem.. trimmed it with exacto knife pretty easy with the raised edge taped the edge of the emblem and sprayed it...

I only removed the wheels before prep, and used masking tape on the rotor, bleeders and caliper bolts. I found the decals on Ebay, from several vendors. I waited a few days for the epoxy paint to fully cure, then applied the decals and sprayed a clear-coat over for protection.
I had the same shop that powder-coated my wheels paint them. They came out looking virtually like factory (it’s a C8 Z06, so wanted a professional result). I have a Volvo S60 I still keep and did those myself with G2.
