Corvette has always been a bucket list car for me since I first saw one as a kid. Got my 24 Stingray a little over a year ago. I daily drove it and had a great time with it. Replaced the AC compressor at 6K miles
and got a transmission check engine light that was a communication error according to dealership at 10k miles.
it just wasn’t a great daily driver (visibility and getting in and out daily ) and I can’t really keep it and get another car.
I missed having a manual so I got a 2025 BMW M2 manual. Break in time is 1200 miles. Ugh
wish you all well with the C8’s I will miss mine.
Hopefully will get another one used in a few years.
I don't blame you. I know people do it but I see the C8 as a DD, meaning, it is your only car. I can see it if someone has another car and chooses to "DD" the C8 but at least they have another option when they get sick of the routine or need to be with more then one other person.... I think the term Daily Driver is used loosely....

Sorry it didn't work out. All my 7 Vettes since my 1st a 1988 have been DD's. Granted since my 2008 C6 Z51 I don't have a need to drive every day (retired in 2000, only have a part time Internet business.) Wife doesn't like getting in and out of my Vettes nor do I like her limiting the way I drive (aggressive and often fast.) So when we go out together I drive her BMW SUV (she is on her 4th BMW X5 SUV, the current 2025 in a Hybrid.) I have zero issue getting in and out as have my own Gym and exercise 7 days/week. Been doing that since 1986. On "Back Day," 3 sets of 10 pull-ups are part of that routine. That includes over 30 minutes on a treadmill when my dog doesn't want to walk 2 miles!
Been a "gearhead" since ~13! Built my 1st car a '41 Ford Coupe with Olds engine Hot Rod in 1959 when I was in high school. EVERY DD until my 2020 C8 Z51 was a standard shift. Thought it would be an issue. BUT after driving in Manual Mode for the 1st month getting over stirring a stick, I found Z-Mode Power set to Max. That is where I often drive in my rural area. It's like a different car. It seldom shifts past 5th gear in the rural area where I drive.
Yep my dog is typically my only passenger and he loves speed. Was with me in my 1st 2.1 second GM 0 to 60 Dash Test! I'd never go back to a manual with the Launch and acceleration of the E-Ray! Great fun!
^^^^ I mentioned in a past thread that I drive through your neck of the woods when I commute between Charlotte and Myrtle Beach. I have notices a few small "shops" in that area that seem like they are "enthusiasts"..... defiantly some nice roads out there!

Yep may pass where I live at the County Club of SC. It's the route from I95 to Myrtle Beach. Usually for folks coming from the South.
We're 5 miles from I95 at the new Buc-ee's exit! I take only back roads the ~30 miles to town, don't use I95. Just as fast and more fun.
Sorry to hear about your Corvette experience. To me, the bmw looks like a down grade.
Yeah, not at all. OP - nice choice on the M2. I've been dailying my '23 M2 for just under 2 years. I've racked up 32k mi in that time, and love driving it every time I get behind the wheel. Look into the CS software pkg after your break-in service is performed. There's conflicting info if the manuals get the ~70 hp bump that the autos do. I have the full software pkg on my auto (engine tune, steering, suspension, transmission & differential). It really gives you a whole new car.
Fit & finish is going to be better, and dealer service is 100% better than Chevy. Enjoy your 3/36 of complimentary maintenance as well.
I understand. The lack of a manual did me in. I had 3 C8s various configurations and none motivated me to keep any of them. Lot of cars out there lot of fun!!!
From Spring to late Fall I DD my '21 2LT Stingray when the weather is cooperative. Just over 4 years old and 20,500 miles. Love it. She hibernates from Thanksgiving to mid-April.
I don’t get having a Corvette as a DD unless your ‘toy’ cars are vehicles like F cars/ McLaren, etc…
Hmm, all depends on what your "Toy" is and how much room you have in the garage!
When I pulled my 2024 E-Ray into the garage no room for another car. My "Toy" is the '34 I built when I retired in 2000. A ProStreet Rod with an 8.2 Liter BB crate engine. Engine is set back in a TCI tubbed chassis and has 53% of it's 3000 lbs on the rear 16.5" Section Width Mickey Thomsons. Hence why a sedan or no room for people! Mostly goes to Shows.
The E-Ray is my 7th Vette, ALL DD's from my 1st a 1988. Remember when we built our current home, ~30 miles from Town hauling 8 foot long 2X4s in my 1993 40th Anniversary Coupe! Yep just put towel on the Dash and with Hatch raised, towel over the rear, under the wood. Tied the Hatch down wit a Bungie! Wife's XJ6 Jag was not useful!
Was able to haul product I sell to FedEx in my 2008 C6. The hatch area was lower in my two C7s and when I needed to take product to FedEx had to remove the two spools and place them with folded Box in Hatch. Assemble and tape outside FedEx!
Was no room in my 2020 C8 Frunk or Truck for customer who wanted product overnight. Wife was using her SUV so my 2020 C8 became a Pick-Up. Sent Pic to the buyer to let her know it was accomplished! Before my wife had SUV's (1st was a Porsche Cayenne and her last four BMW X5 SUVs, the current 2025 a Hybrid ) had to have a way to haul my raw material from the LTL Truck Depot. Built a Harbor Freight Trailer and added removable wood sides. Stored it above my C6! Fabricated and bolted a hitch on the C6 rear cross member! Took a few trips as it does in her SUVs BUT worked! Fabricated a trailer hitch and bolted to the rear cross member on my C6. Plug for trailer lights and open receiver without ball mount used Chevy Logo hitch cover!
