Default C9 timetable?

Sorry for the hijack - I didn't see any forum. Mods: Perhaps this goes in a general forum?
Since the C8 is now in its 7th model year, has there been any somewhat good rumors/speculation on its replacement? Ideas on features? ICE vs EV pronouncements? (No mule pictures yet?)

2026 is refreshed interior. they did not do that for only a year or 2.

75th anniversary is going to be 2028, that will not be a New C9 year historicly. So 2028 will be C8 at least.

2029 first possible year. Making the C8 last at least 8 years.

For refence

C1 (1953-1962) lasted 9 years,
C2 (1963-1967) lasted 5 years
C3 (1968-1982)lasted 14 years (1978 25th anniversary, and body change to the back hatch so 4 more years with change)
1983 the dead year for corvette (No 30th anniversary)
C4 (1984-1996) lasted 12 years (1988 - 35th anniversary, and then 1993 - 40th anniversary)
C5 (1997-2004) lasted 7 years (2003 - 50th anniversary)
C6 (2005-2013) lasted 8 years (2013 - 60th anniversary)
C7 (2014-2019) lasted 5 years (2018 -65th anniversary, Interesting this was such a short run like the mid years)
C8 lasted 6 years so far (2023 - 70th anniversary)

Nothing yet. Expect the kind of C5>C6 evolutionary change. It will not happen before 2029.

I just hope the styling starts to move toward those CX cars that they showed off a while back.

^ Yep. Posted previously about how every AE Corvette came out during a non-1st MY. And they deliberately skipped 30, 45, 55.

Good logic, even with a slow-down in sales (despite a proliferation of models).
So, C8 for 10 years (2020 - 2029) or more most likely?
Can someone remind me - did Mary B., etc., commit to all EVs from GM at some point? Have they/she backed off since then?

She did, but the corvette team has repeatedly stated that that isn't where they are aiming at with the corvette. And since we don't even have a PIHEV corvette yet, I don't think it's coming any time soon.

Rumor mill claims that a C8 GS is coming with *possibly* a new LT engine. I would have initially disregarded this as hearsay however it seems to have grown loud enough to dismiss at this point.

It always takes longer than they plan on to release the next model.

I agree, 2030+ before a C9 is released for sale, too much new stuff going on right now with the C8, 2026 int, ZR1, ZR1X, possible GS....

I'm thinking 2030 or 2031 for the C9 to appear. Who knows though, could be a 2029 model.

Good info for those that don't know the history. Minor typographical error on the C7 that I'm sure you knew just typed wrong, should be 2014-2019.

I don’t have the certainty that a lot of you guys seem to, and I don’t much believe in internet rumors until they materialize.

But this right here makes logical sense.
