Looking for a good service Chevy dealer when I service my 2023 Corvette in Westchester NY.
Also 0n my car which is a 3LT car the dash pad is coming lose. Went to Curry Chevy and they said it was 3 months out of factor warrantee
I called GM to open a case and after a month of back and fourth said they can't do any think for me. They gave me a quote of $2300 to replace the pads.
I was thinking am I better off having my interior shop take them off and reglue them so the color match if the same?
My C7 is a 1LT so no issues with the dash, but I have had a few older vehicles with such problems (specifically a Porsche 928 with leather dash) and my local interior shop did a great job sorting it out for a modest cost. I'm sure that you can find a similar shop in your area.
It's amazing that we tolerate this level of quality. I've had 20 year old german cars that spent their whole lives baking in the sun and the stitched dash looks just as good as it did coming off the showroom floor. Heck, even 14 year old stitched leather dash on my Grand Cherokee looked better than what we're seeing on these three year old vettes.
If it is the dash directly in front of the driver / steering wheel where the HUD resides it is a $200 part and a 10 minute replacement process if that.
Pitiful commentary on GM. Btw, a friend who was a high quality custom vehicle upholster, who did custom everything from Lear Jets to factory to-of-the-line tractors redid his Contach in vinyl; when I asked him why (since his other two Lambos had factory leather), he said it would last much longer and look better in the process.

My history with 3LT interiors is my C6 with 8 years and 87,000 miles and my C8 with 4 years and 47,000 miles and neither had/has an issue.

The majority will not have an issue fortunately but the ones that do give it a bad rap especially in the days of the internet, pics and forums. I ended up getting a spare panel for my C8 3LT dash right above the drivers side as it is easy to just snap in place if needed and that is the one spot that you hear more often fails. Only $200 and wanted to get it now while I can as it is with the red stitching and some parts over time are hard to come by. Cheap insurance for having the nicer 3LT interior.

How do you know the new new panel won't disbond sitting in the box?

Perhaps it will, it will be kept in a climate controlled room though so I doubt without any temperature transitions it will. If it does for $200 I won't lose sleep over it, although I will be disappointed to have to buy another and have trouble obtaining it again,
