Default Drive Mode Nanny

For those who dislike nannys, how would you like a Drive Mode Nanny deciding where you can use the different modes, based on GPS data? (And they think its so great they actually filed a patent).

Geo-fencing isn't necessarily a new idea. My Emoto could easily be geo-fenced to fall within speed limits for local trails/paths--if local ordnances required it and were equipped for it.

What I have an issue with is being unable to override it. Same reason I dislike CONstar being baked into my C8.

Would not be a fan of that new feature. Glad I do not have to worry about it with my cars.

I would just like to have more adjustment in every mode.
We can adjust Z mode, but the others are locked.
How about a 1-10 adjustment on the trans, traction control, steering assist. brakes, shocks, in EVERY DRIVING MODE.

And the auto insurance premium increase auto deduction from the same bank account. And if that ticket puts you over the max points allowable your engine will be electronically disabled for the rest of the year.

I think its lame we can't set all the modes like they have for Z and my mode. Same with the Dash. the soft ware allows it, woul h ave been EASY to allow you to custom set each mod, and save.

but this thread is more about locking out with Geo fencing which would suck. I vote no! ha

Your city could implement a 1 weekend race track on city streets and allow citizens to drive it like they stole it.
Those cars would not be allowed by their manufacture to race.

Well let’s see.

They geo-regulate use of aggressive drive modes to racetracks only while simultaneously warranty blocking cars that see track duty. Hmmm…

I can’t wait to see how they spin this into something they hope will boost sales of high-performance vehicles.

I’ve seen many get warranty repairs for things that happened on track. I remember one who got a new engine.

1st: it’s a British car company. If you’ve been keeping up with things in the UK, not so much Liberty.

2nd: On the other side of the coin, one who exercises liberty best be ready to accept the consequences of their decisions, good or bad.
