Default Jacking the car

I recently saw a video from Paragon that shows someone lifting their C8 from the circular holes near the rear of the car, then placing jack stands where the pucks are located on the oval slots.
Has anyone else tried this with success?

That is the way I normally lift the car when using jacks and jack stands.

Should not be an issue. both locations are located on the frame rails.

That's the right way, the easy way to lift one side at a time.

I recently bought an American Forge and Foundry floor jack. Its minimum height is about 2 7/8!" This means even with the rubber pucks installed in the C6 frame lift points, I still have enough clearance for the jack to slid in under the puck.

Is that green spot where the round hole is in the frame?

I used my 2-1/2 ton floor jack. It fits under with 1” to spare. To make it work with the puck area, I remove the round mount on the jack. Then I use a piece of 2x4. This is for lifting one wheel. And because it’s not tall enough for the jack stand, I put a railroad tie (1’ piece) under the suspension. That’s the failsafe if the jack were to lose pressure. Ideal? No. But I didn’t have a puck handy. (And no I do NOT get under the car with this setup).

Post 4 / C5Racecar has a good photo.

Jacking these cars has been a discussion.
I have yet to lift and support on 4 jack stands.

I use my installed jacking pucks for the jack and then place Race Ramps under the tires.
Having two jacks (for lf & rt sides) can be an asset

Removing the undercarriage panels to access GM's specific jack-stand support area is PIA.
So having a jack location in which you can also place the jackstands on the pucks is awesome.

Post 4 is a great answer, again, jacking these cars is a discussion.
