Default Questionable vendors

I'd like to buy a Red Mist-painted waterfall cover. Having issues communicating with RPI. Get constant voice mail when I call (over 2 days) and no reply to an email sent from their site. I've found 2 OTHER vendors selling what I want, but I believe are connected with RPI. Through the years, many have reported good and bad experiences with RPI, and I myself had a good one with them not too long ago. I have found other vendors, but with highly inflated prices. There seems to be about a $200 swing in prices for same product. Can anyone here point me in the right direction, please? Thanks in advance.

Take a look at the Transactions Feedback section.

Many of the aftermarket vendors are small operations that don't really have an office staff. So, responses to emails and phone calls frequently suffer. If you recently had a good experience with RPI, why not just order what you want online from their website.

You can also try contacting them via PM on the forum or via their For Sale thread for the product you are looking for. Maybe this thread: Redesigned C8 Corvette Painted Open Design Waterfall Extension

Go into the RPI site and look for the" Contact RPI " tab. Its at the bottom of the main page. They do answer that.
That being said I am currently at 16;5 weeks waiting for a painted part to even ship

I can't speak to their customer service, but they do state on the website that painted parts do take longer to ship

I’ve used RPI on numerous occasions. Painted parts do take a long time, but the product was always high quality.

Thank you for your interest in our parts.
The easiest way to contact us would be through the contact us link at the bottom of our page since we only have 2 people on the phones. We would be glad to help you in any way we can.

Had a terrible experience on a small dollar item with RPI. The jacking pucks literally broke on install, and their only solution was for me to buy replacements.

And this was on a $30 item.

I wouldn't recommend them. If this is how they deal with problems on a small item, how will it feel if a problem arises on a larger priced item?

I tried that. Now 2 days later and no one replied after I used online contact. And as yet no one called me back either after left message, several days now. Not good way to establish trust.

I wound up finding and using United Restyling. But I found him and ordered from him before I got your post. He WAS great to deal with on the phone and I purchased the waterfall. He had one in Red Mist in stock. Great price - the best I had found. I had the piece THE NEXT DAY with free shipping!! He's kinda close to me. But that was great customer service on his part. Piece looks great and I will be installing when I take the car out of Winter storage. It's best to do those things when temperatures are higher anyway. I would not hesitate to recommend him either. Your car interior looks great!

I have had a number of dealings with RPI, on both my C5s and C7. Products did take a while to be produced (made and painted), but once received, were excellent quality. And the price was very good. That was a few years ago so I have no current experience with them, but just based on the past I have no reason to not recommend them, especially if you have the time to spare in receiving the items. And unexpected time delays in receiving ordered goods is not necessarily an uncommon occurrence,

I used RPI last year, for the 2 painted (Red Mist) triangular pieces for the engine compartment. I knew about the paint delay - fully understandable - and the parts are were high-quality and beautiful. That's why I wanted them for the waterfall. But things just didn't work out due to a communication problem explained here earlier. Also explained was that based on my research, there have been quite a few reported communication issues with RPI, which is a shame, as their stuff is good. But wanting to drop $$ should not turn into an exercise in frustration, as my experience was. Couldn't order online, couldn't order by phone, no one getting back to me. Thank goodness there are alternatives. I might try RPI again in future, though.
