As of September 1, 2025, and continuing into early 2026, Canada continues to apply 25% tariffs on most automobiles manufactured in the United States, including the Bowling Green-assembled Corvette.
The Corvette C8) remained subject to the 25% surcharge.
To not be subject to the counter tariff, the automobile must be made with at least 75% of the material made in North America. The corvette is at about 71%-73%.
C'mon GM, find some more parts made in North America for the C8. The 25% tariff makes the car riduculously expensive in Canada.
