No, those 2 Thursdays are when dealers can assign an allocation to your order. It immediately goes to 2000 at that time. It will move to 3000 the following Wednesday.

If you are guaranteed you car at 2000 then what is the difference between 2000 and 3000? Don’t tell me that there are no constraints on your order at that point because I can say for sure that even at 3000 you can still have constraints on your order…

3000 is when the order is inputted into the production computer to start scheduling it for production. Hence why the order can no longer be edited at this point.

It's why 2000 is Order Accepted by GM.

3000 is Accepted by Production Control.

There is a difference between constraint at DOSP and constraints once at 3000. A constraint at DOSP limits every dealer from throwing an order in with T0G. Dealer A can be told that only 1 Z06 out of their 4 allocations for the Z06 can be ordered with T0G. Dealer B can be told 0 Z06's out of their 3 allocated Z06's can be ordered with T0G. If your dealer was given an allocation for T0G and you wanted it, once at 2000, you will get the car with the visible carbon aero( barring GM BS as with the first ZR1 orders).

Any "constraints" at 3000 is now just throwing your order into the production mix or the rate the supplier is able to supply the part to BGA. If GM gave out only 50 allocations that could be ordered with T0G because the supplier said they could do 50, your order may sit at 3000 for a long time if the computer decided to sequence your order in slot 48 for a T0G car because they may not get the parts for vehicle #48 until 2-3 months from now. It isn't that GM has the parts for 50 T0G cars sitting in a warehouse ready to go when they gave out those allocations. It's them giving out 50 based on what their supplier said they could supply in a certain timeframe for the just in time manufacturing model. Hence why your order is still "constrained". Throw in other variables like the supplier in reality can only do parts for 40 T0G vehicles in the timeframe GM lays out, then your order gets further pushed back.

Ok, so in my case the dealer told me that they has an allocation for a Z06 with Aero (TOG) and I took it, they entered the order and it moved from 2000 to 3000 over night. It then sat at 3000 from Oct 21st to Mid Jan 2026 waiting on the TOG. It still seems that if managed right there is an extra step there somewhere..

October orders always seem to be cursed with stretched out production timelines. Not helped by the plant shutdown in December through January. Wasn't for the shutdown, your car likely would have been built in December which would be a normal timeline to production. My order went in the 2nd DOSP in January 2024 produced week of April 1st. It can happen quicker, but I would say my experience is more typical where yours would have been built in a similar timeframe if you remove the plant being closed for awhile.

Yeah you are probably right... it was 10/21 to 2/6 so 14 weeks and if you minus the 4 week shutdown it was 10 weeks from order to build not including the time i am waiting for it to be delivered…Honestly as much as i complain about the “process” I am pretty excited and happy to get the car exactly the way I want it….
