Default HTC won't close

I changed my oil on the lift. Brought it down to fill back up to find out my HTC (the top) won't move at all. So now I have a C8 with no motor oil in it. After several researches I gather there is no way to to get home to get to the engine. Anyone have any ideas before I tow to dealer?

Some sanity check thoughts...Are you just trying to open the cover from the fob, or have you tried the interior top switch as well? Also, from the fob, have you tried unlocking, locking again, then trying to open?

WITHOUT TOUCHING THE BRAKE PEDAL WITH ANYTHING .....push the start button to put the car in "service mode " and try the top switch. Other than that wait till monday and call service and ask them

Maybe double-check the trunk and/or try opening the trunk and close it again, in case the car thinks the trunk is open for some reason. Has the battery been changed recently?

If of any value, from the manual:

Unhook your battery for at least 15 minutes and then reconnect.
Then try what Patton mentioned: "WITHOUT TOUCHING THE BRAKE PEDAL WITH ANYTHING .....push the start button to put the car in "service mode " and try the top switch. Other than that wait till monday and call service and ask them"

Ok this may be way off base, but isn't there a temp sensor that stops the top for opening when the temp is below a range….?

I'm confused. The title of the thread is HTC won't close which suggests the top is down. Are you saying you drained the oil with the top down and now you can't put the top up so you can access the oil fill port? The reason I ask is there have been cases where people didn't properly put the oil fill access cover back in place and it jammed the top position sensor so the tonneau cover wouldn't open.

Wow...what crazy timing....the module goes bad while you are changing your oil.
I don't know much about the HTC' but is there no way to manually "crank" it up or down?
That would suck if you were out and about and a pouring rain storm came rolling in and a module crapped out when the roof was halfway closed....
