I have an escort max 4 and thinking about a mount that goes on the info screen but still searching for a mount for that model .....my old eyes and ears need it closer but i dislike the mirror mount

FWIW, I have had my 12 year old Passport Max mounted two ways. For my 2 c7s and for 3 years on my 2020 C8 had mounted on my windshield using the Escort "Sticky" mount. Then mover to Dash. Like it better and moved that mount to my 2024 E-Ray! Where I will mount on my 2027 GSX!
Had mounted this way on my two C7s. Gor c8 bought longer Blendmount wire tap.
Save your money and get a Bartallama3D mount for $35 on Amazon. These sit on the infotainment screen and it’s a better position in my opinion. Less intrusive. For power, I use the 12V power plug under the glove box and routed the cable under the center console and up behind the infotainment screen. Works out great!

I have a rectangular soft black rubber pad (approximately 8" x 8") that has a 2" diameter hard plastic pad in the center. I think i found it on Amazon. I placed on the center of dash. I fabricated a trapazoidal shaped (angled so detector sits level) block of 2X4 with velcro to attach to pad and bottom of my Escort 360 Max detector. I cut out part of the upper surface to avoid blocking the detector speaker and allow power cord to pass from left side to the right side where the cord connects. I painted it black to blend in. I use the cigarette connector under the dash for power. The cord routing is very inconspicuous, and I can hide the detector easily by covering with my cap if I'm stopped. The detector works very well from that location and I will post a picture on request. I also like this setup because it is completely removable and doesn't require any modifications to my car. ❤️🏎

Plus one for the bartallama mount…works for my detector…another thing I like is that since it sits atop the infotainment screen it can be easily taken off when parked to stow away and keep the thieves at bay, and since I venture through VA & DC often it can be grabbed quickly if you know law enforcement is around you and looking for detectors mounted in the usual places. Most recently had a VA trooper stealthy coming up behind me and probably had a radar detector detector and was checking me out but shut it down and put it out of site and he gave me a look but kept moving on. Situational awareness is everything!
I'd be interested to see how many have gotten tickets with radar/laser detectors. I got pulled over once on I-95 around Darien, GA. I was in a Porsche and the officer said he had me going 80 MPH down the entry ramp. The traffic was all going 80 and I moved right in line with them. I noticed a black SUV weaving in and out of traffic behind me and then it came up behind me and right when he got on my bumper, he hit the radar which instantly set off mine which at the time was a Radenso. He didn't give me a ticket and I think he just wanted to look at my car. I did get a ticket in Suwanee, GA for going 52 in a 30. It was laser and my detector never made a peep. I just stopped using them altogether at that point.

I was coming out of Astoria OR. There's a nice set of corners about 5 miles out of town that are a hoot to hit. I drove slowly enough to make a gap to the RAM extended cab pickup in front of me. When we got to that part of the road I hit it and didn't catch the truck till I was at the next to last curve. We went on and he pulled aside to let me pass him. Clear of the curves I didn't want to keep pounding it and was only doing about 5 mph over the limit, but he came up on me, I felt he was pushing me to go faster so I picked it up just a little bit, still less than 10 mph over the limit of 55. He kinda rode me, as we came to a passing lane. I looked ahead and there was a string of about 15 to 20 cars, and at the front was a truck pulling a trailer, so I hit it. I passed nearly everything and at the end of the passing lane pulled in behind the trailer, when BLUE LIGHTS FLASHING in the MIRROR. It was that freaking extended cab pickup that turned out to be an Oregon State Trooper. He set me up. I got a ticket for 30 mph over.
If I had continued beyond the passing lane and gone on by that last trailer, I probably would have gotten a reckless driving ticket and had the book thrown at me. He told me that he could tell I wasn't driving crazy, just FAST. He said he had clocked me with laser, and that I could plead No Contest and get the fine halved. I think I paid $135.
Yeah, I'd say he definitely set you up! I forgot to mention the best part about my ticket in Suwannee, GA: The police officers name was Officer Hassle.
i did for another detector but i want the escort closer because of brightness and volume , i got the 35.00 bartallama coming to use as a base and adapt it for my use
I ended up ordering the Batalllama base. I'll design & 3d print an actual mount for my radar detector. I have an older passport. Thanks for the recommendations. I appreciate it.
