I always go with factory on all my cars for which they are available; never been disappointed.

Is it heavier than the stock roof?

You will get broiled inside with that top in Florida.

I just swapped back to the painted roof for the summer. I’m in middle GA, but I only run transparent roof from around Oct - Apr. due to heat…

I use mine in the winter in Az then back to the stock top in the dog days...really opens up the interior.

I ordered one to lighten up the interior.
Cars with dark interior A-pillars and headliners are waaaay too dark.

I only have the transparent. It offers more head room.

I just bought a transparent top. Looks really nice on my Red Mist car. It does feel more open and the blue tint look from the inside is nice. I live in PA so the heat issue may only be a factor in the summer. I'll put the red top back on if it gets too hot.

I have both tops, but the transparent one stays on almost all of the time. Cockpit feels more open. I’m in Central PA, so the weather doesn’t have too much influence.

I kind of wish mine had the carbon fiber factory roof with the painted edges. It's almost impossible to order one of them through the parts catalog as they only come in white and red. I will someday upgrade to the transparent roof.

I love the transparent top and even though I'm in Arizona it stays on year-round. However, I will admit that I purchased a static cling heavy tint solar shade and when it's the hottest install it. It gives me the flexibility of seeing through or not depending on the temps. So, I get the best of both worlds.

I have the factory roof and suction cup insulation panel. First as asked before is there an aftermarket roof? Not as far as I know. Second I really dislike the suction cup insulation panel. It's a pain. So, I use the transparent top in the colder months and stock body colored one in the hotter months.

I have the factory transparent. I wasn't planning on changing it for the painted, I like the look inside and out, but it does get much hotter in the cabin. I have switched it out. I can't imagine how hot it gets in the southern states.

In FL the transparent top can be like a Kenner Easy Bake Oven. (Us old folks remember that). I run the painted top from May to late September. I really like having the transparent top on the car.
