C8 Corvette Floor Jack

Have 4 Harbor Freight Jacks. My last purchased was a long reach, high lift, very heavy 95 pound.. It that can lift high enough for a 12" high Stanchion. Although I have still have four 12" high Stanchions never used for my Vettes. They are stored in the attic. For my Street Rod took a two step process using Jack Stands then jacking to the full 12 inch height.
CAUTION: My small Jack at max lift can just barely allows my shorter, homemade wood stanchions to fit. BUT to do that it MUST be: 1) perpendicular AND 2) move into the car 2.6 inches. If back casters not set correctly and on rough concrete driveway it won't move into the car. The jack saddle can slip off the jack pad (ask how I know!) Use my light 35 lb small jack most when just lifting high enough to remove a wheel etc. Note for the same max lift height os my small jack, the large heavy Jack only needs to move in 1.2 inches. BUT it wasn't moving at all! So i welded a 1/2 inch steel rim to the Jack saddle so my 1" high metal Jack Pad helped pull it in.
Have 12 inch high commercial jack stands that were worth the Two Step Jacking effort when building my Street Rod. Tt was in the air over a month. Could safely work on adding exhaust, etc while laying on a creeper. BUT don't need a Vette that for even changing oil so use my lower, home made wood stanchions.
