Hi all, would really appreciate some help/advice here. I bought my C8 Stingray last year which came with a front splitter attached, looks really nice but the past few months I've damaged it a bit and I figured I would buy and install a new one.
I ordered one from China (probably not a good idea in hindsight) and tried to install it, but it seems to not fit. The current splitter seems to have a deeper, longer mounting plate to attach the screws, and the one I ordered doesn't have this at all (see image - top one is the current one, bottom one is the new one). Meaning it won't fit.
However, when searching for various different splitters online (non-china ones, lol), they all don't seem to have this deeper mounting plate. I asked the garage where I always do my maintenance if they could look into it and find one that fits, and they also can't figure it out.
I'm a bit at a dead end and don't know what to do. I really wanna put a new splitter under the car but I can't figure out which one will fit the car. Any help would be massively appreciated
I have ordered one from EOS.
FLIP-267-V2-ABS Corvette C8 Stingray Front Splitter [Z51 Package] - Carbon Flash Metallic / 3-Piece Version / Corvette C8 Stingray
It is as close to the original as I can find. Problem for me is that fedex has lost the part. It has been stuck in Iowa for 2 weeks now with no delivery date available. Should have been here 2 days ago. I am waiting on EOS to refund my money. I am not going to order another one from them unless they can offer another way to ship it. That will be the third C8 item that fedex has lost. I am looking at others, but most of them have the lip on each side at the front fender that I don't really like. Good luck finding one. Maybe EOS will work for you.
There are many available. I would not recommend EOS or any obscure Chinese brand. I do think most, if not all do come from from there but dealing with an US supplier may be easier. If you want a good value and have carbon flash ACS with the undertray is nice. If you want something different and prefer exposed carbon fiber AG Motorsports has a good collection but they are not the least expensive. If you go with something nice. The ACS undertray is a great idea to help guard against damage. I have the AGM Stealth with the 5VM undertray and like the look. Good luck with your decission.
I have the EOS Z51 splitter installed on my car, zero issues. Did not like the factory Z51 splitter.
For me EOS is hit or miss. Some of their stuff does not fit. I bought their carbon fiber boomerangs and the fitment was awful. I could not use them. Not saying everything is bad, but I do not want to practice installation and removal.
