Default C8 hub size

Hello,

I have been told the C8 wheel center bore has not been changed from the C7" 70.3. Can anyone confirm that with a picture of the measurement of C8 wheel? I'm willing to pay $100 bucks,

C7 has a 5×4.75" bolt pattern using 12mm×1.5 bolts
C8 has a 5×120mm bolt pattern using 14mm×1.5 bolt

Now, since 4.75 is only 0.021" different than 120mm = 4.724 you COULD have C7 wheels machined to fit C8--but the offsets would still be wrong.

Hub bore for the C8 is 66.9 so in order to "machine" the C7 wheels to properly fit, as intended, the center bore would need to be tig welded to reduce the size and machined out to 66.9 or use hub rings to reduce the size (Cheesy method) There is just enough difference between th C6/C7 wheel when compared to the C8 wheels that putting them on your C8 is not a good idea. Just find some nice aftermarket wheels to fill the void and be done with it. The C8 is the "New" platform so why put "Old" platform wheels on one.....IMO. Do what you want, it's your car. As long as you like it and your comfortable with your decision that's all that matters!

Not quite sure what y’all are talking about, I have been using C6z wheels as track wheels, no problems. C7z wheels (front) have a 43mm offset. The sweet spot is 40mm. The rears from the C6z or c7z are both fine. But suit yourselves.
