I've installed aftermarket throttle bodies, and tuned many late model GM cars.
In my experience throttle bodies don't bring much power to the table. They do really help throttle response, especially in the lower RPM's.
I recently installed a Katech throttle body for another application and really liked it. So I ordered one for the C8. LT2 uses the same throttle body as LT1
I was surprised how well the car ran with the Katech throttle body. I wasn't expecting much, but it really seemed to wake it up throughout the RPM range. Drivability and throttle response were excellent. It turned out a better mod than I thought!

Here's some pics. Stock vs Katech
Really cool to see you on here with your C8 Gotcha.
PS. An old car that you might recognize.

Thanks, are the throttle plates the same size as stock? Did you notice if the engine revs any quicker?
I think the throttle plate is the same size...That's a good question though, I'll try to find out for sure. I do like how they milled the throttle plate shaft, makes it very thin at WOT.
The engine does rev quicker throughout the RPM range. Sounds throatier as well!

Thanks for checking. It looks like it might be the same size but hard to tell from a picture. I put a polished/ported TB on my ZL1 and I liked the difference it made. Crisper throttle tip in.
First time having a corvette with warranty, does GM care about mods like this when it comes to warranty claims? Would they even notice it was aftermarket?
