Default Any vendors doing ported heads or intake manifold?

The LT1 responded well to ported intake manifold and heads, picking up 25-35 hp at the wheels. With the LT2 having a wide band O2 sensor could this be done on the stock tune?

I believe it could be but I'm not sure I would recommend it.

Relying on fuel trims to bring the tune into check usually results in poor drivability.

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like the LT2 responded well to headers. “Toilets” picked up 20 hp. Took out some considerable weight too.

Ours we will be doing that on actually. Did it years ago on the lt-1's for a no tune situation and worked out well.

That’s great to hear Joe. Looking forward to your results.
You’ve built a rep for building fast cars on this forum- I have no doubt it will continue with the C8

There was a rumour that C8 has Wideband O2 sensors and adjusted A/F ratio even at WOT...
Thats how Hennesy could drive with TT and get 650 HP...
That would mean that mapping need no adjustment for small HP increase ?

Can you confirm that ?

yes they have factory widebands, hennessey is putting a meth nozzle in and praying. I want to see a good graph of it and see it not close up the throttle body especially on the hit.

Surprised they didn’t add in E85 first, blend it in incrementally. Probably did.

Going to be interesting to see how far the factory wideband can adjust. Pretty cool that you can do basic mods w/o any tuning and keep you warranty.
