I've seen some of the videos of cars making power due to new cats, exhaust, etc. and at least some of the power has to be due to the leaning of the mixture (the stock mixture appears a bit fat). Has anyone been able to confirm that the computer does not correct this in the long term fuel trim? Does it stay leaner permanently or with driving does it return to the original fuel curve?
If the trims change then the gains are short lived. I'm really interested to know how intelligent the new computer is. Also, does anyone know if the stock MAP sension is a 1 bar or 2 bar? I know the O2's are wide band. So there's a chance that the stock computer can compensate for boost (small amounts) or flow increases (wide bands O2's maybe adjusting fuel trims).
