@mrrrkva more offset would move the outside face of tire inboard, less offset moves the outside face of tire outboard, giving additional brake caliper to wheel clearance. Here is a good explanation of wheel offset: https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech...t&gclsrc=aw.ds

Use this calculator here to get a before and after of the offset change. I have seen as wide as 20x10's up front which really surprised me.
