I saw some members without the engine appearance package who were adding LED's to the engine bay. Looks good! I want to upgrade my LED's, has anyone tapped into the pre existing LED wiring to add more lighting?

If you don't already have the engine beautification option, the wires are not there because the lights are not there. Easiest option is to buy LED lights on amazon and control them with an IR remote control that comes with them.
Yes, I have the engine appearance package and OEM LED’s. Just wondering if anyone has tapped into them and added more or brighter LED’s.

Put black tape around them so they are not visible through the rear window. They are battery powered and run off an IR remote.
Great idea with the electric tape! Yeah these are a little big compared to the flat ones you can buy but at least having these battery-operated types helps save time with the wiring etc.

Check out my video, it's a little more involved than just some puck LED's but a lot more reliable and cleaner IMO.
So what if it looks cheap. First of all, you put these in for the light they offer, not their own beauty. Besides, when they are on and the trunk is closed, you can't see them anyway. I say 12 bux well spent.
