Improved stance... Not too low but much better tire to fender gap...Great choice for a street driven car where one must contend with public road conditions. Lowered rear to factory max to match the front... Custom wheels along with the Paragon collars make for a killer look! Car seems to ride the same as it did with no significant reduction in ride characteristic. (Mag Ride) Very pleased with the results!

Looks good. Did you cut the bump stops or leave them?
I went with Paragon as you don't have to cut the bumps stops. I hate hacking stuff up and any possibility of voiding the warranty. My dealer said I'd be fine as long as I didn't cut anything. They agreed this was the way to go and said they would take care of me in the event of an issue.

No, I work on all my own cars. I have been doing it for 40 years. Everything on my C8 has been installed by me, Paragon collars, ground effects, front splitter, High Wing, factory engine appearance lights and wiring harness, illuminated door sills, front radiator screens, 2 additional quarts of DCT fluid and many other items. All parts are OEM/GM accessories other than the collars and AG wheels. The dealership will only see this car should it require warranty coverage. Installing the collars and lowering the rear only took about 2 1/2 hours from start to finish.
Thanks for all the info. I just ordered the Paragon lowering collars. I called the dealer to see if they would install but they said they wouldn't. There are a couple of performance shops around so I'm sure I can get one of them to do it. I don't have a lift or all the tools needed.
I had paragon collars installed last week. One thing I noticed and maybe it’s just me is the spring rate increase slightly when I was in tour mode I felt that the car is a little bit stiffer on the springs I don’t know if anybody else has noticed that. I haven’t driven it that much since installed so maybe it’s just me. I like the stance a lot
I hope it's not too much stiffer as I like the ride in Tour mode. I'm looking to have mine done this weekend. What is everyone charging for this service? I'm supposed to get a quote tomorrow.
You don't HAVE to cut bump stops on any of the lowering collars, ours included. The only reason we recommend it is because you are reducing the travel of the shock by lowering the lift system on the perch. In order to give the travel area back for track use we recommend cutting them. If you are street driving the car you will never get near the limit of the shock travel most likely so there is no reason to cut anything.
Hindsight I guess I should have looked up the address to Paragon before I shipped them one of the kits that took me weeks to design

Are you stating that yours (and Paragon's) lowering collars compress the spring thus increase the spring rate slightly? Because I notice when I first drove it, the ride was very slightly stiffer in tour mode but that could just be me.

This is a great question. They do not compress the spring, what they do is lower the shock tube in the shock body. I personally didn't notice any stiffer ride at all but that isn't to say your butt dyno isn't better than mine. Any stiffer ride would simply be in the shock itself not in the spring. The distance between the spring perch and the top hat remains the same when on the ground. The lowering is achieved by simply moving the spring perch down on the shock tube.
