Default Ported msd intake with ported heads

Has anyone tried to run an msd intake or ported heads? I have arh headers ready to install and have parts off my built 1le camaro that’s being rebuilt and going to try and see if they work on the vert c8 without throwing codes. Have pray ported throttle body, pray stage 1 ported and milled heads( going to run thicker gasket so compression will be almost back to factory spec) and pray ported msd intake
Going to try it with the ported heads and ported 89 to with factory lt2 intake first and see how it works and drives. Then will try ported msd just for fun and see if that works out.
Will do dynos on all variations not throwing codes
should be tearing into within the next couple weeks

The MSD doesn't fit. The IM is rear facing and the fuel line entry does not have a notch on that side. However, a hi ram works if you modify the support brace.

Thanks snow! High ram looks great! Don’t know if it would have clearance on my vert but will check it out
How much difference with the high ram and how does the trans shift with all the extra top end pull. In normal daily driving and full throttle fun. Seems like it will be on the rev limiter in a hurry!!
Thanks sir!!

It was only a dry fit and I haven't got around to testing yet. When or if I do I'll post up for sure.

Has ARH confirmed their headers fit the HTC?

Good luck on this build.

Arh has different part# for the vert. I contacted arh and asked if the vert and coupe headers made same power. Never got a response.
Looking at the vert headers they do look a little flattened out compared to what I remember the coupe headers looking like but don’t have side by side comparison

Damn. I'd put that Holley on for aesthetics alone. It looks so much better than the hunk of plastic GM put in. Any power benefits would just be a nice bonus.

Might be a challenge to change intake manifold on HTC and maintain the heat insulation above the engine which protects the HTC hard top when it is in the lowered position.

hi ram is one of the few after market intakes that doesn;'t bleed off too much low end torq and gaps the factory intakes up over 6500

the long runners have a straight shot and the lid has enough plenum volume for the air to make the turn to the front runners which should help with the AF balance getting the air evened out between cyl.

<sigh> someday when the tuning opens up a bit more, that intake looks like a winner!!

did this thing make any power with the hi ram. All the other intake options are *** backwards.

The support brace needed to be modified for the throttle body, I wasn't ready to start sawing my car up. They need a lid revision to make it work.

So the low ram or mid would be fine then you’re saying?

Looking at the ptr… it looks like a carbon fiber hi ram.

Would be nice if Holley would make an intake manifold for the C8.
