Do not wish to start the old non-mag vs mag ride debate. My question is if I do not get Mag ride on my base c8 2LT do I still get launch control? I heard you must have Mag to have launch control. Do not think it’s true but really do not know.
Thanks

Does anyone know how to clean the underside of the glass over the engine ? I took it to a manual car wash and our hard water entered through the air vents on each side of the glass. The water spots now nearly block the glass completely, and cannot be reached for cleaning. The same applies to the engine itself, and everything else under the trunk lid except the actual trunk itself. The car washes have a very low pressure spot free rinse function...think soaking the engine can do any harm ?

not a professional or even a good car washer by any means, but my opinion is that you should never spray down your engine with water or anything else.
for cleaning the glass underside...windex and a squeegee? long handle one might work nicely.
I wonder if something like rainex would be a good solution to make it more hydrophobic?
If you look at the layout, there are 3 open screened vents on each side of the glass, allowing water into the engine bay. At slow speed in a heavy rain, everything will get soaked.
There's no problem getting water in the engine bay on most any car. The issues with washing come from some of the harsh chemicals used getting on plastic and rubber seals or gunking up your alternator. It is preferable to wash while to engine is cool though as its not meant to totally soak the engine while hot.
