Curious, for those who have driven down the 1/4 mile and have mag ride option: When using launch control with mag ride suspension is it better to have mag ride set to softest setting for further weight transfer or does it even matter with the C8 platform?

Interesting question. Perhaps the "launch control mode" sets the shocks like those used for drag racing, i.e. 90/10 for the fronts for max front lift and stiff rears for a second or so. Would be logical.

I would be VERY surprised if launch control mode did not dynamically control the shocks during a launch. The technology and function is there. User input would be pointless.

Not quarter mile runs but this info may be helpful.

I played with the different settings at Spring Mountain in early May. When one attends the C8 Owner's School, there is a session teaching the students how to use launch control and lets them take a number of 0-60 runs. I already had played quite a bit with launch control prior to attending the school, so I took the opportunity to play with the Track/different PTM settings.

Varying the selector between all the Z51/FE4/PTM settings (Race, Sport 2, Sport 1, Dry, Wet) yielded no difference in times. The runs were back-to-back with an ambient temperature of 90+ degrees. I cycled through the settings as listed in the parenthesis, and went back to Race for my last two runs. All the runs were taken with A/C on, except for the very last run. Turned off the A/C and the time dropped 0.2 seconds. I was surprised by that difference.

How do you override the suspension setting when you select TRACK mode?
My understanding is Launch ctrl only works in SPORT & TRACK modes.
Aren't all those settings fixed?
