Z26-8010 is the "correct"part # for C8 Z51 rear pads, but they clearly do not fit properly as there should be no overhang. To answer your question, no that is not normal and needs to be addressed with them.

Default Pin Alignment Holes?

I agree I suspect the pad was pushed in too far and the pins missed the alignment holes.

nope, those are fully installed with pins seated. You can see the difference in Pad material from OEM z51 to Powerstop. Backing plates are the same size.
Powerstop has confirmed this install and said grey surface will wear away. Also, on another forum a second person has confirmed the same install. The red rear caliper has powerstops and is wearing away the grey coating,

Not a great picture but i'm not taking the wheel off. Its 100% in the powerstop alignment holes as you can see. Might want to check those other install you did...

VERY interesting! Clearly Powerstop has opted to use more rotor surface then OEM did which should lead to additional braking power... But my concern now becomes braking balance. I was happy with the Z26 pads on my C7 and will keep an eye on this before doing anything brake-related on my C8 (but dang this brake dust is terrible!).

Well the Power stop front Z51 pads are larger also. Don't have a picture of the PS but the pad material is wider. If I can explain it correctly the brembos have area on pads that doesn't touch the rotor. Power stop have a chamber on their pads but its very sharp so more material is riding on rotor.

pic of Brembo front...you can see a large area on each side of pad material that doesnt do anything

ive posted the oem Brembo / PS rear pad comparison multiple times here. backing plates are the same...its just the pad material is different. Same with front PS have more pad material touching rotors. Front PS just doesnt have the large chamfer on the sides the Brembos have.

Good info! Going to need to swap over to the Z26's pretty soon because this dust is ridiculous. I put about 25k miles on my C7 with Z26 pads and liked them (did 32k on OEM Brembo/Ferodos).

Has this matter of the Z26-8010 part number been resolved regarding fitment on the C8?

Can someone confirm either: "Yes, the pad is slightly larger but it still works..." OR " No. It is not suitable for the C8".

I purchased a set for my Z51 coupe and am getting ready to swap-out the Brembos due to dust...
